Anthony Scaramucci sacked as Donald Trump’s communications director

Anthony Scaramucci has reportedly been sacked by Donald Trump as communications director.

The Mooch has been in the role little more than one week.

He’s been thrust into the limelight ever since, and started his new role with fumble after fumble.

A White House statement said: ‘Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House communications director. Mr Scaramucci felt it was best to give chief of staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best.’

Things came to a head last week when the smooth-talking director found himself in hot water by telling a New Yorker journalist he ‘is not trying to suck his own cock’.

In a expletive-ridden telephone call with Ryan Lizza he said: ‘I’m not [Trump’s chief strategist] Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own cock, I’m not trying to build my own brand off the fucking strength of the President. I’m here to serve the country.’

He also brought his feud with Donald Trump’s former Chief of Staff, Reince Priebus, into the open by telling a reporter his rival was a ‘fucking paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac’ saying he had ‘cock-blocked’ him from the White House for six months.

Priebus allegedly stopped Scaramucci from getting a job at the White House in January.

Just before the weekend, it was reported Scaramucci’s wife filed for divorce because she’s sick of the political world.

A source told Page Six Deidre Ball, 38, is ‘tired’ of The Mooch’s ‘naked ambition’.

‘Deidre has left him and has filed for divorce,’ said the source. ‘She liked the nice Wall Street life and their home on Long Island, not the insane world of D.C. She is tired of his naked ambition, which is so enormous that it left her at her wits’ end. She has left him even though they have two children together.’

They’ve been dating since 2011.
